Urban Futures write to introduce the Gateway Heathrow 2012 Programme.  The aim of the programme is to support unemployed people into work through training and/or job brokerage. This programme has been developed in partnership with London Borough of Hillingdon, Heathrow Airport Limited, Uxbridge College and Urban Futures.

We seek to achieve this by:

• Working directly with candidates to enable job readiness through an accredited Preparation for Work training course.
• Providing a one stop shop for potential employees to access training, made aware of airport vacancies supported by the Heathrow Retail Academy
• Supporting employers through the recruitment process by CV screening and pre-interviews.

By working closely with the Heathrow Retail Academy we hold a large number of retail vacancies.  In addition we engage non-retail employers at Heathrow Airport to access their vacancies.

ELIGIBILITY:  

• All referrals must be over eighteen (18)
• Valid Current Passport or EEA Card
• Do not have ANY unspent Criminal conviction
• Able to provide a Fully Checkable five(5) reference history without any gaps
• Referral from the following – Hillingdon, Hounslow, Ealing
• Small percentage % from Brent, Hammersmith and Fulham and Harrow

This is a FREE service to clients once they meet the above Eligibility criteria and looking to build a long term career at Heathrow Airport.
