ORGANISATION PROFILE
Comsys community College was founded in 2001, a not-for-profit organisation which specialises in accredited education and training with the aim of providing targeted Information Technology ESOL, Basic Skill, literacy and numeracy, Health and Social Care courses in Haringey and the surrounding area of Enfield and Waltham Forest.

OUR TARGET GROUP
Our beneficiaries are mainly the unemployed, refugee and asylum seekers. Long-term unemployed, some lacked self-confidence, and are supported through our life skills programme that helps them to regain their self-confidence. We have successfully met their needs and attracted them to our programmes through provisions of beneficiaries travelled allowances, childcare support and access to training facilities which offers access to disabled people.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMMES
Most of our courses are fully accredited. In the supportive environment the college provide links with and complements local initiatives, which is central to the design and delivery of our education & training courses. We involve a range of partners to realise synergy and achieve mutual benefits, eg. current employment service programmes, information, advice and guidance partnerships. Increase employer knowledge and awareness of issue concerning the needs of the affected group.

EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING
One of our aims as an education and training organisation is to tackle employment barriers amongst local community by providing training and development courses to enable pathway to employment and economic stability.

As an Employ ULV approved provider, Comsys provides training programmes that supports target beneficiary groups covering provision of structured and holistic training in career development. Comsys also offer beneficiaries a full range of mainstream support services to help them progress their development even further to enable them to access job by supporting them with CV preparations, covering letter, completing job applications form, mock interviews and work experience placement.

We have a network of employers and support organisations willing to provide our beneficiaries work placement to enable them to gain work experience. We also have a network of local and London wide employers and agency are willing to assist our trainees into jobs and employment. Providing beneficiaries with empowerment to have a vision for their future, skill and knowledge to be able becomes a productive member of society with dignity. Giving them the knowledge and confidence to seek new challenges and opportunity for further development by motivating them to achieve their true potential.
