Funding OpportunitiesNRF ESF Co-FinancingRevised: February 24, 06 A new ESF Co-financing programme in London will be launched this month. The ALG NRF ESF Co-financing programme 2006-08 aims to align the priorities of NRF and ESF to fund projects which promote active labour market policies, the employability of excluded individuals in the community, lifelong learning and adaptability and entrepreneurship. Haringey and Enfield are two of 11 boroughs participating in this new co-financing round. This ESF Co-financing programme is designed to enhance the impact of NRF in the borough. The money has been made available to fund projects working in Haringey or Enfield that promote social and economic inclusion for some of the most excluded individuals and individuals at risk of unemployment. All projects must have employability as their overarching focus. NRF is a borough based initiative. Therefore, all applicants must prove that they have the skills, knowledge and experience to enable them to deliver in Haringey or Enfield. With this in mind, all applicants will be required to demonstrate that they have a proven track record of delivering similar services in the borough, or provide a convincing argument for why they are a suitable organisation to deliver in that borough. Moreover, as there will be a tight turn-around time between the awarding of funding and commencement of delivery, applicants will be expected to have an existing borough base from which to deliver, or provide evidence that they will be able to be up and running and begin delivering the activities listed in the tender specification by April 2006. Projects will be funded from April 2006 until March 2008. Therefore, the maximum project length will be 24 months.
