End of SRB Celebration

On Wednesday 8 March 2006, the Joining Up Northumberland Park (JUNP) and West Green programmes, together with Urban Futures, gathered at the Regency Suite in Tottenham to celebrated the end of the single regeneration budget.
This was a significant occasion to highlight extraordinary achievements within the London Borough of Haringey. Each programme?s respective project board members, residents, local ward councillors, community representatives, project managers and numerous community stakeholders, who worked tirelessly on these projects over the past seven years, attended the event.
The Mayor of Haringey, Councillor Eddie Griffith, hosted the commemorative dinner, and keynote speaker, Claudette Forbes, Director of Regeneration for the London Development Agency, was able to speak about both programmes in the context of regeneration in London and the region.
Zena Brabazon, head of Neighbourhood Management at Haringey Council spoke enthusiastically about the programmes and the legacy they would leave behind. Geoff Amabalino and Donnette Milkson, chairs of the West Green and Northumberland Park boards respectively, were awarded flowers and champagne as a thank you for their contribution.
