News ArchiveWaltham Forest MegaNexusThe online network, piloted last year, has now expanded to include Haringey and Enfield as part of the Employ ULV Framework funded by the LDA. Meganexus is designed to help local residents access jobs, training and support. During its pilot inception MegaNexus saw over 30 people assisted into employment and around 150 connected to training and support services. Free registration is open to Waltham Forest residents where they can create their own employment profile based on their skills and experience and attempt to match them to vacancies across the tree boroughs. Support provision such as information on local nursery places to debt counselling is also accessible to users. Organisations that offer services are encouraged to go to the site and set up a free account to promote what they do. Approved providers undertaking Employ ULV initiatives can also use the network to track, monitor and report work undertaken with their clients and beneficiaries. Each provider can then submit their quarterly report to Urban Futures. Steve Delaney, Employ ULV Director said: ?We are delighted to be able to continue the Waltham Forest MegaNexus and combined with the other networks in Enfield and Haringey, this will help all providers involved in Employ ULV to promote their services to the people who really need them.?
