Disability Support Network (DSN)The Disability Support Network (DSN) evolved from research on the provision available to disabled people within the Upper Lee Valley (ULV) areas of Waltham Forest, Enfield and Haringey. The project is designed to support disabled people into employment and training by delivering a joined up approach to service provision and employment opportunities. John Grooms (project leader) are working in partnership with Mencap, Open Mind, Richmond Fellowship Employment and Training (RFET), as well as a host of other projects to service the needs of disabled people. The project helps employers in the ULV on how complying with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and enables a number of organisations to provide a one-stop shop approach to both employers and potential employees. Further information about the project can be obtained by calling 020-8826 1291. |
